Done With Your Camping Gear? We’ll Solve Your Storage Trouble

You bought a tent for a festival or camping trip and now it’s sitting in your boot or loft, and has been for months, hasn’t it?
We’ve all been there.

You meant to use it again, or sell it, or lend it to a mate. But life got busy and now it’s just that thing you step over when you’re looking for the Christmas decorations. If it’s doing nothing else and you have no plans for it, we’d love to take it off your hands and lend it to someone who’ll have the best weekend with it.

We will collect it without fuss (as long as it’s in decent nick), someone will then get their camping gear sorted and you get your space back.

Everybody’s happy.

We Do Tent Hire Differently

We’re the only camping tent hire company running a complete circular economy model; from active nationwide collection to nationwide delivery. Collecting donated tents from across the UK, refurbishing them properly and putting them back into rental use for anyone, anywhere. Not just passing them along as is.

Most hire companies just buy new. Many tents left behind at festivals sadly never make it to charity or reuse, they often go straight to landfill instead. (To learn more on this, read our article on Tent Abandonment and learn about the wider issue). So, we’ve built a smarter way to get people camping: by transforming your unwanted tent into a fully camp-ready gem. Every tent we collect is inspected, cleaned and repaired, so it’s genuinely useful again. That means less waste, more adventures and a positive impact that you can actually see.

Instead of letting your gear sit idle, we give it a new life, letting you enjoy the satisfaction of helping someone avoid a leaky weekend and keeping one less tent from being manufactured new.

What We’re Looking For

We want to give festival-goers and campers an awesome time, so we’re on the lookout for gear that can handle a bit of mud, keep someone dry and still have plenty of life left in it. If you think you have a tent that will perform whether it’s seen one festival or ten, then we’re definitely interested. We can’t take everything though ( huge festival gazebos that have survived hurricanes aren’t really our forte!). Our focus is on practical camping gear that’s easy to refurbish and ready to hit the field again. See what we’re after below:

Max Weight

20kg

Max Length

Icarus 500 / Rydal 500

What We Can’t Take

Even if it’s a cracking tent, we definitely can’t take the following:

Over 6M pitched or over 20kg
Multi-Bag (any tent that won’t fit into one bag)
A bell tent, canvas tent or family tent over 6 berths
Heavily damaged or missing parts that can’t be easily replaced

If We Can’t Take It, Don’t Bin It!

A tent that doesn’t fit our hire model can still find a happy home elsewhere. A few options worth trying:

Cotswold Outdoor Recycle My Gear – drop off at any UK Cotswold Outdoor store for free. It’ll be recycled by their partner Phoenix Resource Centre
Outside Re-Action – drop off at their Hathersage shop or post it in. It’ll be resold, donated or recycled via their brand partners
Local Scout or Guide groups — worth asking your nearest group whether they’d take it, policies vary

Get That Space Back

Ready to reclaim that precious space in your boot, shed, or hallway? Donating your tent couldn’t be easier (and it feels pretty great too!). Instead of letting that tent gather dust or worse, mildew, you can turn it into someone else’s weekend adventure with just one quick message.

Just message us at [email protected] with:
A quick photo of your tent
Brand & size
What festivals or trips it has been on (Just curious!)

We’ll then take it from there. We’ll confirm if the tent is suitable and arrange a collection that fits your schedule. You get instant breathing room and another camper gets to keep the good times rolling.

Whether you’re clearing out after Glasto, tackling the “loft of doom”, or just sick of tripping over it in the shed. This is your easy solution to free your space and share the adventure.

After We Collect It

We’ll give your tent some love, make sure it’s ready for festival life and then some lucky camper gets to relax about their weekend. All the while you get your boot space back. Everyone wins!

Tents we receive that aren’t quite right for festival life get passed on to local groups who’ll love them. We ensure nothing goes to waste.
